Smriti Mandhana and Palaash Muchhal have been making headlines recently over the issues and postponement surrounding their wedding. Almost a year ago, however, Muchhal had proudly announced their relationship to the world and shared how ‘proud’ he had been of all of her achievements.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times in November 2024, the music composer had directly talked about dating Smriti Mandhana and how happy and proud he was of her. The interview had also only come days after the two were spotted sharing an embrace in the cricket field after one of the cricketers’ wins.

He had stated in the interview back then that “I feel very proud, obviously, because I am her partner; boyfriend till now. I’m very proud of her achievements. But I like to keep my personal life private. This is the time I should work as much as I can.”Emphasizing the importance of keeping his private life and relationships away from the prying eyes of the public, Muchhal had also detailed how he was more of an introverted person, personality-wise. “People don’t believe it, as I have a lot of friends and I’ve been on the stage as well. But even when I pose during events and parties, I feel very shy,” he candidly shared in the interview at the time.
