Orton turns heel and spills Cody Rhodes’ blood during WrestleMania contract signing

The main event of tonight’s (Mar. 13) episode of SmackDown featured a contract signing for the WWE championship match at WrestleMania 42 between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton.

Cody and Randy embraced to kick things off, with Rhodes going down memory lane to say he’s proud of always being Orton’s boy.

The Viper was a little uneasy as he took his turn to talk. He said Cody doesn’t get it; he needs to win that championship at WrestleMania. Randy said this was supposed to be easy because it was supposed to be Drew McIntyre who he was facing for the gold.

Cody cut him off and said he completely understands that when the bell rings for their match, he’s getting the Legend Killer, the three most dangerous letters in WWE, and everything that comes with it.

It turns out that Cody didn’t get it, because Orton wasn’t waiting five more weeks to strike. After the contract was signed, he smashed the champ’s face into the table, kicked him in the dick, and proceeded to destroy him, busting Cody open along the way. Things got very uncomfortable as Randy continued the brutal assault on his boy, with Cody’s blood visible on his arms.

Orton’s former tag team partner Jelly Roll tried to talk sense into him, but Randy shoved him down to the ground.

After leaving the scene for a few moments, Randy came back to finish off Rhodes by using a steel chair to crush his skull into the ring steps. Orton then sat in the ring with the championship in his lap as WWE officials frantically attended to his victim.

Do you think Cody Rhodes gets it now?
