OnePlus is gearing up to launch its performance-focused smartphone, the Ace 6 Ultra, in China on April 28, with the company steadily teasing specs that clearly target mobile gaming enthusiasts.
The upcoming device stands out with a massive 8,600mAh battery, paired with 120W fast charging, promising long-lasting usage along with quick top-ups. OnePlus claims the phone can deliver up to seven hours of continuous gameplay on a full charge, while a 10-minute charge may offer nearly two hours of gaming. The battery system is further supported by an OPPO-developed “Energy Concentration” chip, aimed at improving efficiency and maintaining stable output even under heavy or low-power conditions.
Designed with gamers in mind, the Ace 6 Ultra is expected to support 165fps gameplay in select titles, driven by a 165Hz display and ultra-responsive 4,000Hz touch sampling rate. Connectivity is also a focus area, with a dedicated G2 Pro Wi-Fi chip and a 360-degree antenna setup designed to reduce lag and improve stability during competitive gaming.
The smartphone is expected to feature a 1.5K BOE display with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and full DCI-P3 color support, balancing gaming performance with rich visual output.
In terms of durability, the device is tipped to come with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, making it one of the more rugged offerings in its category. Additional features may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, and Android 16-based ColorOS 16.
OnePlus is also introducing gaming-focused accessories alongside the phone, including the “Strix G15” controller, equipped with shoulder triggers for enhanced gameplay control during long sessions.
With its aggressive specifications and gaming-first approach, the Ace 6 Ultra appears tailored for hardcore mobile gamers and power users seeking extended battery life, fast charging, and high-performance connectivity. However, for casual users, its heavy gaming orientation may be more than required.
