ⓘ OnePlus
The OnePlus 15 uses a scaled-down camera system compared to its predecessor. It has a smaller primary sensor and telephoto lens, and lacks Hasselblad color tuning. However, leaks suggest a major upgrade for the telephoto camera on OnePlus’ 2026 flagship, expected to be called the OnePlus 16.
Previously, prominent tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that OnePlus would use a 200MP camera sensor for the OnePlus 16. However, the leak did not clarify whether it would be for the primary camera or the telephoto camera. Now, a new leak from @OnePlusClub on X sheds light on additional details.
According to the source, the OnePlus 16 will use a 200MP 1/1.56-inch sensor for its telephoto camera. For comparison, the OnePlus 15 uses a smaller 50MP 1/2.76-inch telephoto sensor. Furthermore, the OnePlus 16 may include a telephoto macro feature similar to that found on the Oppo Find X9 series.
Apart from the camera, the OnePlus 16 is tipped to have a 9,000mAh battery, up from 7,300mAh on its predecessor. The display refresh rate is also rumored to exceed 200Hz. The OnePlus 16 is expected to use the next-generation flagship Snapdragon processor. For reference, leaks suggest Qualcomm will launch two versions of its next chipset: the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It remains unclear which of the two chipsets the OnePlus 16 will use.
