‘Off Campus’ Breaks the Ice on Its Next Stars—and Everything Else We Know About Season 2

Hockey drama Off Campus was renewed for a second season before lovers Hannah (Ella Bright) and Garrett (Belmont Cameli) even puckered up onscreen. Eight episodes later, millions of fans have watched their rocky romance become a happily ever after on the surprise Prime Video hit’s first season.

Their best friends, on the other hand, are skating on thin ice.

The streamer announced this week that Allie (Mika Abdalla) and Dean (Stephen Kalyn) will headline Off Campus season two, adding more fuel to the show’s sizzling friends-turned-secret-lovers dynamic. Even though their season one storyline got less screen time than Hannah and Garrett’s, it was just as juicy.

Off Campus premiered on May 13, capturing the zeitgeist seemingly overnight. The first season of the series, based on Elle Kennedy’s smutty YA romance The Deal, follows Briar University juniors Hannah and Garrett, who pretend to date before their feelings for one another get all too real. While their saga has come to an end, the show will employ a Bridgerton-esque strategy in its next season, featuring side characters (the respective best friends of season one’s protagonists) as the next season’s main characters.

Enter Allie and Dean.

In season one, the pair’s paths first cross at a Halloween costume party. Allie dresses up as Jennifer Lopez—plunging green Versace dress and all. Dean goes as Maverick from Top Gun. Their time on screen together is brief but charged, as drinks flow, music blasts, and Dean swoops in to dance with Allie.
