If you thought we were done with the showcases, think again, as Nintendo has just announced a Direct. This Direct will air tomorrow, 9th June, at 3pm UK time.
The Direct will last roughly 50 minutes, Nintendo said, and highlight upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch games. After that, it will be hosting a 95 minute Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentation, where it will show us some gameplay from select titles featured during the Nintendo Direct.
The news was shared via the Ninendo Today app. You will be able to watch via YouTube or the app, and of course we here at Eurogamer will be covering all the trailers and announcements as they happen, so stay tuned.
While Nintendo hasn’t yet shared further specifics beyond that, we can possibly expect more on a new Mario game. And while this is potentially wishful thinking on my part, we have heard rumours that the company is planning to release a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time later this year, so maybe we could see more of that.
Again wishful thinking from me, but there is also the upcoming live-action Zelda movie, which recently wrapped filming in New Zealand. Could we get a teaser featuring Bo Bragson as the titular Princess Zelda and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link making their way through Hyrule? And if we do, will Link speak? Also, does Link use the Master Sword to cut grass? Questions!
Anyway, not much longer to find out. What do you hope to see during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct?
