According to Nintendo, dungeons will be a part of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave.
After the reveal several months ago, we finally got a major look at the game this week during the latest Nintendo Direct. A bunch of information was shared, but a few additional details have trickled in since.
Much of the title focuses around the Heroic Games and battling for the chance to win one wish. However, you’ll be able to do some different things outside of matches as you explore the world to strengthen your army and find resources.
Exploring dungeons is something that was hinted at in the Nintendo Direct footage. At one point, we see Leda opening a chest. It turns out that this is indeed a part of the dungeons aspect of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Unfortunately, exact specifics beyond this haven’t been provided.

There will be other things to do other than exploring dungeons. You can train and recruit allies in Dagsion, venture out into the land to fight bandits and monsters, and more. However, you’ll only have limited time to prepare.
If you played Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia on Nintendo 3DS, the dungeons aspect may sound familiar. That game also let players fight enemies, discover chests, and more.
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave launches for Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17, 2026. You can get a good look at the game here.
