Megastar Chiranjeevi is the Go-To Man when someone vulnerable in the industry is in medical emergency and they have no where to go. The Megastar never hesitates to help anybody who approaches him.
Only the last week, we heard him donating a total of ₹20 lakhs in one week to support two film industry families facing medical crises. He helped ₹10.5 lakhs to makeup artist Sivanath (Siva) for urgent heart surgery at Apollo Hospitals.
He gave another ₹9.5 lakhs to the family of his former manager KV Narasaiah for his wife’s bypass surgery. Chiranjeevi, on the other hand, is a very principled man when it comes to charity.
He does not like to publicize the charity. These news come out only when the beneficiaries tell that to media. That is the reason many charities he does go unpublicized.
When it comes to Medical emergencies, Chiranjeevi will first prefer their choice of doctors/hospitals as he believes the doctors treating them for long will know the case better.
When they do not have a choice, he refers them to Apollo Hospitals which is owned by his daughter-in-law’s family.
Even when he gets someone treated there, he pays the bill with his money until the last paisa. He never encourages free treatments or discounts because that’s what gives him self-satisfaction. He prefers Apollo because the hospital takes extra care for the Patients because of his reference.
Reliable sources say that Chiranjeevi underwent a minor surgery recently in Apollo and paid the bill completely.
Meanwhile, the Megastar also recently announced plans to launch a free education initiative for underprivileged students, inspired by actor Suriya’s Agaram Foundation.
