Mason Mount has now said that one Manchester United teammate can be deceptively more skilful than England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo in a training session.
Kobbie Mainoo has started all but one Premier League match under interim boss Michael Carrick since Ruben Amorim was sacked by the Red Devils back in January.
The 21-year-old Manchester United midfielder has started 14 Premier League fixtures for Michael Carrick and has netted once and registered two assists.
Three Lions ace Mainoo has been able to reclaim his important role in the United first-team squad in the post-Ruben Amorim era of the Premier League club.

Mason Mount singles out Amad Diallo’s impact in Man Utd training ahead of Kobbie Mainoo’s key influence
Kobbie Mainoo’s revitalised run of form in the second half of the 2025-26 Premier League season allowed the England star to climb back into the national team set-up.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Mason Mount sat down with Jamie Redknapp and was asked about his time at Old Trafford since his move from Chelsea in 2023.
The 27-year-old Man Utd No 7 insisted that Amad Diallo would stand out more than England international Mainoo for what the winger can do skill-wise in training.
“I’d probably say Amad, just that little drop of the shoulder,” Mount said.
“In those little 4 vs 4 or 6 vs 6 games. He doesn’t look strong, but he’s very strong when you play against him.
“Like as you said, like low centre of gravity. He’ll get the ball. He’s very quick with his feet.”

Man Utd star Mason Mount asked about Kobbie Mainoo’s skill amid his praise for Amad Diallo
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp singled out Mainoo’s skill in Man Utd’s 2-1 win over Brentford last month, with Mount showing his admiration for his teammate.
“Kobbie did some nice bits against Brentford as well. A little trick. That was nice,” he said.
Responding to Redknapp, Mount added: “Yeah. Kobs, again, is like very strong, tough to get the ball off of, but also, yeah, very skilful and in tight spaces can wriggle out of the area.
“So, yeah, Kobbs is up there as well.”
Mount has been reduced to five Premier League appearances under United legend Carrick since January amid injuries disrupting his season at Old Trafford again.
