Martinez posted a one-word message while on international duty with Argentina before the World Cup, simply writing ‘Feliz,’ ‘Happy’ in Spanish.
It was enough to receive 2,500 comments in just a few hours, including many from Juventus fans.
Some wrote “See you soon in Turin”, others “Come to Juventus” or “We are waiting for you”, accompanying their messages with black-and-white heart emojis.
The reaction from Juventus fans came after several media outlets, including Sky Sport Italia and Tuttosport, claimed that the 33-year-old has reached a principle of agreement with the Old Lady.
According to reports, Juventus hope to persuade Aston Villa to sell the experienced goalkeeper for a low transfer fee, possibly even on a free transfer, despite Martinez being under contract with the Premier League side until June 2029.
