The XUV 7XO features a redesigned exterior with U-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps, projector headlamps, and revised tail lamps.

Mahindra and Mahindra is testing the upcoming XUV 7XO on the Indian roads right before the January 5th official launch. The XUV 7XO is essentially an updated version of the XUV700. This is not the first time that the brand has renamed a SUV; they renamed the XUV300 to XUV 3XO when the new version launched. This time, the XUV 7XO was spotted alongside the XUV700.

The interior of the XUV 7XO boasts a premium beige and tan palette, a new steering wheel, and additional passenger features, marking a significant update from the XUV700 ahead of its January 5th launch.(Instagram / ar_reviews77)

The video reveals the new design signature of the LED Daytime Running Lamps. They no longer extend below. Instead, they make a U-shape much sooner, a bit like the Daytime Running Lamp of the Scorpio N. The headlamps are now also equipped with projector headlamps, which should help in improving the illumination even further.

There are also redesigned fog lamps that have been repositioned as well. There is also a new grille that seems inspired by the XUV500. The bumper will be redesigned as well. On the sides, a fresh set of alloy wheels will be introduced, whereas the flush door handles and roof rails will stay the same. At the rear, the design of the tail lamps will be revised, mirroring the style observed on the newly launched XEV 9S.

What will be the changes to the interior of the Mahindra XUV 7XO?

The earlier images validate that the XUV 7XO will feature a new interior design for the cabin. It will now be adorned in a beige and tan brown colour palette, providing a more premium appearance. The door pads were covered with camouflage, but we anticipate they will receive the same colour treatment. Occupants in the second row will also benefit from a centre armrest equipped with cupholders. A new two-spoke steering wheel, derived from the Born Electric Mahindra electric vehicles, is confirmed for the XUV 7XO. However, it differs slightly in button placements as it utilises actual physical buttons rather than tactical ones, which share a single pad. This is advantageous, as the steering wheel buttons were a minor concern for me during my experience with the XEV 9e and BE 6.

In comparison, the existing XUV700 is outfitted with a dual-screen configuration. The XUV 7XO will include a display for the passenger, alongside an infotainment system and a digital screen for the driver. The Boss mode will enable the rear passenger to enhance legroom by adjusting the front passenger seat directly from the second row.
