Maa Inti Bangaaram: Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s film has runtime of over 2 hours? Director calls film ‘Baasha-style’

Maa Inti Bangaaram, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role, is slated to release in theatres on June 19, 2026. Directed by BV Nandini Reddy, the film is based on a story by creator Raj Nidimoru.

With just days to go before its release, it appears that the film’s runtime has been revealed. Here are the details.

Maa Inti Bangaaram’s runtime revealed?

According to a report by Gulte, Maa Inti Bangaaram has a runtime of 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 30 seconds. The film has also received a UA certification from the CBFC, which was officially confirmed by the makers.

In an interaction with Gulte, director BV Nandini Reddy highlighted how the film follows a similar template to the Rajinikanth starrer Baasha. Speaking about the project, the filmmaker said, “Maa Inti Bangaaram is based on a Baasha-style template, where the lead has a past. We slightly tweaked that template and explored how it would work with a woman in that position.”

Maa Inti Bangaaram is an upcoming action-comedy drama that follows the story of an innocent-seeming newlywed woman living with her husband in a traditional and conservative household. While struggling to earn the acceptance of her skeptical in-laws, she conceals an action-packed past and is forced to take on dangerous hoodlums to protect her family when her former life catches up with her.

With Samantha taking on the lead role and producing the film under her home banner, Tralala Moving Pictures, the movie also stars Gulshan Devaiah and Diganth Manchale as co-leads. Moreover, Gautami Tadimalla, Sreemukhi, Manjusha, Srinivas Gavireddy, and others appear in pivotal roles.

The music and background score are composed by Santhosh Narayanan, while Om Prakash ISC serves as the cinematographer. Dharmendra Kakarala serves as the editor.

In a recent online interaction, Samantha revealed that the makers had initially wanted to pitch the story to Sai Pallavi.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will next be seen in the web series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur. With Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi also part of the cast, the series is created by Raj and DK and directed by Rahi Anil Barve.
