LinkedIn is launching the Connected Apps feature to show the apps you actually use • Межа

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, has launched a new tool that will allow recruiters to see which apps potential candidates actually use at work, in an effort to help validate their professional credentials, TechRadar has reported.

“Once connected, each app generates a simple statement based on your real activity,” the company explains.

The feature works by linking supported apps directly to your LinkedIn profile and then automatically adding information about how you use the service and the skills you demonstrate.

Importantly, users will not be able to manually edit descriptions to misrepresent their competencies, and they will also receive notifications whenever a new activity summary is added or updated to their profile.

“We’re building new ways for members to show real, credible proof of what they’re capable of, right on their LinkedIn profile,” CEO Dan Shapero added.

You can add supported services via the Add section in the Connected apps menu. Among the first available apps are Descript, Duolingo, Lovable, Relay.app and Replit, with LinkedIn planning to add support for Adobe Express, Adobe Firefly, GitHub and others in the future.
