• Lamborghini has teased a new limited edition model.
  • It’s based on the Fenomeno and is likely a roadster.
  • Model should debut this weekend with 1,065 hp.

Lamborghini is celebrating their 63rd anniversary this year and the number holds special meaning to the company as they were founded in 1963. To mark the occasion, the automaker is holding an event this weekend.

It appears there will be a very special guest as Lamborghini teased a new model on social media. The darkened image clearly reveals the vehicle is based on the limited edition Fenomeno as it sports an aggressive hood with intakes and sizable vents. They’re joined by a carbon fiber splitter and vertical air curtains.

There isn’t much else to see, but the mystery model is likely a Fenomeno Spyder. While the company currently doesn’t have a drop top in its lineup, Lamborghini has been working to address the shortage and spy photographers recently snapped a Temerario Spyder.

We’ll learn more this weekend, but the Fenomeno coupe is limited to 29 units and features the “most powerful V12 in Lamborghini’s history.” The naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter engine produces 824 hp (614 kW / 835 PS) and 535 lb-ft (725 Nm) of torque, and is accompanied by three electric motors. Two are mounted up front, while the third is integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The motors are powered by a 7 kWh battery and they give the car a combined output of 1,065 hp (794 kW / 1,080 PS). This enables the model to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 217 mph (350 km/h).

To put those numbers into perspective, the Revuelto produces a combined 1,001 hp (747 kW / 1,015 PS). This allows it to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds and have a top speed in excess of 217 mph (350 km/h) as well.
