Karuppu collected Rs. 6 crore approx on its 2nd Thursday at the Indian box office. On Thursday, the film saw a 25 per cent increase over Wednesday, due to the Eid holiday. With that, the film closed its second week at Rs. 63.75 crore approx. This brings the two-week running total for the Suriya starrer to Rs. 193 crore approx, just Rs. 7 crore short of the Rs. 200 crore mark, which the film should get to tomorrow.

The second week in the state was Rs. 45.50 crore, the third highest of all time, just behind PS-1 and The GoAT. Karuppu is currently the sixteenth-highest-grossing film in the state and is poised to enter the top ten with over Rs. 150 crore in full run, likely around Rs. 160 crore.
The film has fared strongly in the Telugu States as well, which are nearing the Rs. 30 crore mark with steady collections in the second week. Karnataka has also cleared Rs. 20 crore.
