Tata Sierra EV vs JSW Jaecoo J5 – Features Compared

The Tata Sierra EV is expected to launch this month, while its new competitor, the JSW Jaecoo J5 might arrive by early 2027. Both these SUVs will be positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, and boast several unique and modern features – here’s everything we expect

This is a comparison of the comfort and tech features on the models. The Sierra EV’s feature suite is expected to be carried from its sibling Harrier EV, along with the QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) tech, which makes it even more interesting; however, the inclusion of the same is yet to be revealed.

Apart from that, the Sierra boasts certain more features, still the Jaecoo J5 also gets an exciting feature suite. Now, let’s take a look at the expected safety features to be included in both the models –

Safety has always been Tata’s upper hand, and with the Sierra, it will try the same. Expect the SUV to be included with several features and tech. While we expect the Sierra’s feature list to be vast and include more features compared to the Jaecoo J5, still the upcoming JSW SUV will still be loaded with the needed features.


One of the major advantage with the Sierra EV could be the QWD tech, which will drive its demand, as it did for the Harrier.
As both the SUVs are expected to offer a good feature suite, an exact verdict on which SUV really thrives, depends on the actual suite of features. That said, as we near the launch, we expect both the brands to reveal the features of the models.

Launch Timeline
Talking about the launch timeline, the Tata Sierra EV is expected to be revealed by the end of this month. However, its actual price reveal might be done sometime later. About the JSW SUV, the brand has not revealed any actual timeline but as the automaker is planning to launch the Jetour T2 as its first model, we expect the Jaecoo J5 to follow and be launched by early 2027.
