Jesse Eisenberg is opening up about the kidney donation he did back in December 2025.
During his recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the 42-year-old actor was asked about the motivation behind his act of generosity.
Host Jimmy Fallon began, “I don’t think I’ve ever said this to a guest, but since the last time you were on our show, you’ve donated a kidney!”
The Now You See Me actor responded, “Yeah! yeah, yeah.”
The audience exploded in awe and gave the actor a round of applause.
”Thank you, thank you!” Jesse said.
“Isn’t it amazing? to a complete stranger!” Jimmy asked.
Jesse explained, “Well, I learned about this, and this is just, like, something anybody could do. like, you know, it’s really pain-free, it was quick, they compensate you if you have to miss work to get the surgery.”
One of the reasons Jesse noted is “they say you live a longer life.”
He further explained, “Because they put you through such a battery of tests, before you donate, that you end up living, like, they say, longer than your nondonor peers, because, you know, you have to be so healthy to do it.”
While sharing an update on his health after the organ donation, Jesse added, “So I live a perfectly normal life, my other kidney is growing, and somebody else, you know, who was on dialysis or dying, you know, is able to have a real life now.”
Jimmy then praised Jesse’s act of kindness, saying, “That’s amazing, that is an amazing thing that you did! I love you, dude. very generous!”
”Oh thanks!” Jesse added.
