Fortnite servers went offline on May 14, 2026, as part of scheduled maintenance for the rollout of the v40.40 update, which introduces new content and gameplay elements to the battle royale title.

The downtime began at 4 AM ET (8 AM UTC), during which players are unable to access any game modes.
