Vijay Sales is offering a limited-period discount on Apple’s iPhone 16 Plus that brings the effective price down to ₹71,890, reflecting a direct discount of 10% from the MRP of ₹79,900.
Customers opting for EMI transactions using ICICI Bank or Axis Bank credit cards can avail an additional ₹5,000 discount, while American Express Card EMI holders can avail 7.5% extra discount of up to ₹7,500 on the offer.
According to the retailer’s listing, the offer applies to the 6.7-inch iPhone 16 Plus, which is powered by Apple’s A18 chipset and supports Apple Intelligence features. The model includes a 48MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens at the rear, while the front camera houses a 12MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
Apple claims up to 27 hours of video playback on a single charge. The device also carries an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
While the offer makes the iPhone 16 Plus more affordable for buyers seeking a large-display model with long battery life, the discounts are tied to stock and bank-transaction terms and remain valid only for a limited window.
The iPhone play in 2025
The iPhone 16 (base model) was India’s best-selling iPhone in 2025, with about 6.5 million units shipped in the first 11 months. Total iPhone shipments reached roughly 14 million units for the year, pushing Apple’s market share to a record 9%, up from 7% in 2024, according to Counterpoint Research.
Apple also highlighted India as a standout market, citing all-time highs in revenue, upgrades, and active install base.
Beyond shipments, Apple expanded manufacturing, added retail stores — including its fifth outlet in Noida — and pushed services with cheaper subscriptions such as Apple Creator Studio at ₹399 per month.
The strong year came despite India’s overall smartphone market remaining flat at about 152–153 million units for the fourth year in a row.
