- Will be launched in this financial year
- Third EV in Hyundai India lineup
Spied again
The Hyundai small EV has been spied once again, revealing more details than had previously been shown. The images, from Hyundai’s home country of South Korea, reveal an upright stance, high roofline and a flat face with low-set headlamps. We can also see 17-inch diamond cut wheels, an ADAS module and cameras on both the ORVMs.
Already announced
This isn’t the first time that this small EV has been spied, but these images hint at what game that Hyundai is going to play. Well, first off, this car has been officially announced as a part of Hyundai’s plans for India in this FY, so what you are seeing is more or less what’s coming to us later this year.

Entering the big fight
The images give us an idea that this will be a rival for the Tata Nexon EV, currently the highest-selling EV in India. This is a new growing EV segment in India and will be populated by cars like the Renault Bridger EV, Nissan small EV, Mahindra Vision S EV, Mahindra XUV3XO EV, Kia Syros EV and an EV based on the Kia Sonet. These EVs will target a new set of buyers that want the styling, features and range of a larger EV but in a compact footprint beneficial in tight urban scenarios.
