Display and design
Huawei keeps the Pura 90 series visually distinct with a redesigned triangular camera module and premium materials. The standard model features a 6.8-inch display with a pill-shaped cutout, while the Pro and Pro Max shift to a cleaner, single punch-hole design.
Screen sizes vary from 6.6 inches on the Pro to 6.9 inches on the Pro Max, all using OLED panels with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Pro Max also has Kunlun Glass protection and a more refined dual-tone finish.
Performance and gaming
Performance differs slightly across the Huawei Pura 9 series. The Pura 90 runs on the Kirin 9010S, while the Pro and Pro Max use the newer Kirin 9030S chipset with AI improvements.
Huawei claims notable gains in image processing, stabilization, and overall efficiency. RAM goes up to 16 GB with storage reaching 512 GB for the standard variant and up to 1TB for the Pro models, which ensures smooth multitasking and stable gaming performance across all variants.
Camera performance
Cameras remain the biggest highlight of the Huawei Pura 90 series. The Pura 90 offers a 50 MP main sensor, 12.5 MP ultra-wide, and a 50 MP periscope lens with 3.7x zoom.
The Pro upgrades this with a variable aperture main camera and a 50 MP telephoto with better zoom quality. The Pro Max stands out with a 200 MP telephoto sensor, paired with a 50 MP main and 40 MP ultra-wide lens. Huawei’s XMAGE imaging and Red Maple color system improve color accuracy and dynamic range.

Software and features
All models of the Huawei Pura 90 series run HarmonyOS 6.1 with a strong focus on AI features. This includes AI photography tools, smart composition, and enhanced voice and system interactions.
Huawei also adds imaging-focused features like 3D dynamic photos and advanced portrait tuning, making the software experience closely tied to the hardware upgrades
