Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss
Did you think you were going to get a week without a big patch from Crimson Desert? No dice, as Pearl Abyss is back for more, adding large and small things to the game with a new update, live now. What’s in it this time? It’s focused a bit on house-building, but there are more cosmetics added, and even more focus on Damiane and Oongka, as we essentially get every patch now.
Housing
- Can now decorate the space outside your house, not just the interior
- Two new tools are available for crafting, the Workstation and Loom
- There 58 new items for your house, 4 tools, 10 Sotdaes(?), 7 fountains, 6 wells, 8 braziers, 6 streetlights, 4 carpets, 6 hanging planters, 4 automata toys, 1 music box, 2 pet furniture items.
- The items and blueprints for the items can be found in shops, claw machines, the flower basket crafting mission, the box of fortune, and the orb roll challenge.
Damiane and Oongka
- Can equip Visions and read memories
- Can now mount Blackstar
- Added a new unique sit animation for Damiane
- Adjusted the attack range of unarmed Whirl Kick
- The character loading screen is now displayed when you’re using Damiane or Oongka instead of Kliff

Pearl Abyss
Items
- Five new headgear items for Kliff: Silent Conqueror Plate Helm, Sentinel of Tenacity Helm, Feral Sentinel Helm, Sentinel of Trust Helm, Steelmaw Plate Helm, and one armor set, Greymane Light Armor.
- New accessory: Greymane Signet
- New Damiane gloves: Honorary Greymane Cloth Gloves
- A new “Box of Fortune” in the Mysterious Shop, costing 100 silver and you can buy 3 per restock. They don’t say what’s in it besides some furniture crafting manuals.
There are smaller items and a lot of bug fixes as well. This doesn’t cover all that many major items on Crimson Desert’s last roadmap, but it’s a significant number of additions for those who are into decorating their home, which is a niche, but hardcore, part of the community.
We are still waiting for word on DLC for Crimson Desert, something that has been confirmed multiple times, but without any details given. It’s easy to expect it sooner rather than later, given the pace that Pearl Abyss works, and how long it took to get expansions for its MMO Black Desert after launch. That happened very, very quickly.

I’m not sure I’m going to log back in for this patch and add to my 330 hours in the game, mainly just because I’m not one of those house decoration people. I think my house has a chest and a candle, and that’s pretty much it. But I’m sure a new patch will pull me back soon.
