Hatsune Miku gets glowing fishing rod and reel in wild new collab

Hatsune Miku is officially getting her own fishing gear, because apparently even the virtual pop star needs her own tackle box.

Fishing and outdoor brand Dress has revealed a full Hatsune Miku collaboration, turning the iconic virtual singer into a lineup of real fishing equipment.

The collab includes 12 items, from a glowing reel and light-up fishing rod to Miku-themed lures, pliers, a waterproof backpack, apparel, stickers, badges, and more.

Hatsune Miku’s gone fishing

The standout items are easily the Hatsune Miku glowing reel, which lights up when the handle is turned, while the 120cm Miku fishing rod glows green.

This makes the combo particularly useful for nighttime fishing sessions, as you’ll be able to spot any bites on the line. Both the rod and the reel will set you back ¥5,500 each ($34), which is around $68 for them both. Not too bad if you’re looking to dazzle your catch with your very own Miku-themed glowstick.

There are also metal vibration lures based on Piapro characters, with designs for Hatsune Miku, Meiko, Kaito, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, and Megurine Luka.

Other items include a 30g and 40g weighted fishing lures, a Miku Q squid set, an eight-inch aluminum plier, and Miku-colored PE fishing line that comes with removable sticker artwork.

The Hatsune Miku fishing collection is scheduled to launch in Japan on June 11, 2026, with preorders already live.

This isn’t the only Miku collab to release this year, as the viral popstar teamed up with Honkai Star Rail, a 100-year-old Japanese knife makers, and even received her very own fiery hot sauce collection.
