A fresh set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges lights up this Thursday, April 23, landing alongside today’s GT7 1.69 update and running through next Thursday, April 30. Five new events, seven days on the clock, and this week there’s a brand-new, beloved car headlining the action.

For anyone still getting started, Weekly Challenges unlock once you’ve completed the GT Cafe career through Menu Book 39 and the ending movie. Each week pairs four standard World Circuits races with a single Special Event, and reward tickets step up in value as you hit completion milestones at one, three, and five events. Redeem them from your Gifts section before they expire. In a typical week, you’re looking at around 1.3m credits across cash and prizes.

This Week’s Highlights

The Renault Twingo, one of the three cars added to the game in today’s update 1.69, has been pressed immediately into the Special Event slot.

It’s a one-make race over five laps at Autodrome Lago Maggiore’s Center Reverse layout, and the short, tight “Center” circuit is a sensible venue for the occasion. The Twingo is very much a momentum car, so keeping your speed through Maggiore’s elevation changes matters more than outright braking aggression. The 40,000cr prize for the win is decent for this class of event.

The Schwarzwald League at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve is also new to the game as a permanent World Circuits race arriving in 1.69. Four laps around the Canadian GP circuit with German cars at ≤700PP, offering 56,000cr for the win. If you picked up a Porsche 911 (964) Turbo S Leichtbau from today’s update, this is a great place to take it for a test drive.

The most immersive and timely event is the Super Formula race at Autopolis. Autopolis is a genuine staple of Japan’s real-world Super Formula calendar and this year’s event is being held this weekend, so there’s a satisfying authenticity to running 15 laps there in the single-seater. It’s also the week’s highest-reward event by some distance at 200,000cr, making it worth the time investment.

Rounding things out, a two-lap Sunday Cup at Tokyo Expressway Central Clockwise is the quickest box to tick on the list, and the Nissan GT-R Cup at Dragon Trail Gardens runs for five laps with a 50,000cr reward.
