Heated Rivalry, Book 2 in Rachel Reid’s best-selling Game Changers series, was adapted by Jacob Tierney in a TV show format, chronicling the decade-long steamy situationship between Hockey’s greatest (fictional) stars, Montreal Metro’s Shane Hollander and Boston Bears’ Ilya Rozanov.

Hudson Williams had his work cut out for him when undertaking a complex character like Shane Hollander, who doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve as opposed to Ilya. Doing his homework right, the 25-year-old took thorough inspiration from Rachel’s prose, particularly Shane’s inner monologues, to channel his poker-faced character’s very real emotions. Heated Rivalry Season 2, which explores Book 6 of the Game Changer series, is also something Williams has consumed and is excited to bring to life on the small screen.
