GdS: ‘Milan’s revolution’ – Amorim has ‘dream’ striker idea as Leao can leave

Ruben Amorim’s arrival was confirmed yesterday and the new AC Milan head coach already has a few ideas in mind about who he can bring.

Although he has not arrived in Italy just yet, Amorim is not letting himself get behind. Indeed, the Portuguese is already planning and he has a few ideas on how he can lead his team forward this summer.

Of course, nothing can be done just yet, with the mercato not open and those above him not in their jobs. However, Gazzetta dello Sport write that the revolution is underway, as seen below.

Sell to buy

Hiring a Portuguese coach, as seen previously, is not a sure way to keep Rafael Leao. After his outbursts in recent weeks, it is clear where his head is at. However, it still seems that he would be heading on his way out with the new coach.

He would not be alone, though. If the Rossoneri are to buy, they must sell. Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot have question marks next to their name without Champions League football or Massimiliano Allegri.

Then, Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana and Ruben Loftus-Cheek can also be looked at with questions. Amorim has plenty of decisions to make.

The arrivals

In terms of arrivals, it is clear that Amorim wants a striker and reports yesterday suggested he wanted one similar to Viktor Gyokeres. Leading the ideas is Goncalo Ramos, despite not being a starter for PSG, he has shown very impressive traits.

The current idea would be a loan-to-buy deal, with Ramos valued at €40 million. Perhaps the terms would be better in a year’s time.

Additionally, he is a big fan of Morten Hjulmand, Antonio Silva and Francisco Trincao from the Portuguese league. Finally, a move could be made for Can Uzun, the Frankfurt starlet and the inbound Head of Football would know plenty about if he is worthwhile.
