Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville has revealed what impressed him the most from Benjamin Sesko’s performance for Manchester United against Brentford on Monday.

Benjamin Sesko led the frontline for the Red Devils at Old Trafford and the Slovenian forward has enjoyed a superb run of goalscoring form under Michael Carrick.

Casemiro opened the scoring for Manchester United against Brentford inside the first 15 minutes before Sesko extended the Red Devils’ lead before the break on Monday.

Sesko took his Premier League goalscoring tally to 10 from 29 matches in his debut season at Old Trafford, with the striker netting 11 times across all competitions.

Why Man Utd legend Gary Neville was deeply impressed with Benjamin Sesko’s impact against Brentford

Amad Diallo won a superb tackle in the Manchester United half before the Red Devils pounced on their stunning counterattack late in the first half on Monday evening.

Bruno Fernandes made his way towards the Brentford box before the Man Utd captain laid the ball off to Benjamin Sesko, who seized the opportunity in front of him.

Sesko fired his effort across Caoimhin Kelleher and the 22-year-old Slovenia international’s effort landed into the far corner of the Brentford net at Old Trafford.

Speaking during Man Utd’s 2-1 win against Brentford, Gary Neville admitted that Sesko showed “real composure” with his timing and to ensure that he was not in an offside position on the pitch.

“It’s about timing and making sure you don’t go offside and Sesko does with real composure,” he said on Sky Sports, as per BBC Sport.

“The power on the side foot is emphatic!”

Michael Owen’s reaction to Benjamin Sesko during the Premier League match between Man Utd and Brentford

Michael Owen suggested that Sesko has deeply benefited from Bruno Fernandes playing in the No 10 role under Man Utd interim head coach Michael Carrick.

However, the former United and Liverpool striker added that Sesko impressed him with his “calm finish” after his run of form since Ruben Amorim was sacked.

“Anyone could score six goals when you have Bruno Fernandes behind you,” he said on Premier League Productions, as per the Premier League’s official website.

“But fair play to Sesko. He could have easily lost his confidence after the start he had at Man Utd, but nice to see him bouncing back. It was a calm finish.”

Man Utd will now return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon, with the Red Devils hosting top-four-chasing rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
