In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor and filmmaker finally broke his silence and said, “What I have learnt is to expect the unexpected. Nothing can be taken for granted till you actually have it on film.”
Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar were all set to collaborate for Don 3, an announcement that happened three years back. Post the success of Dhurandhar, things changed and the actor parted ways with the makers. There have been claims of Rs 40 crore being demanded for damages and intervention by Aamir Khan. No confirmation about them has been made yet.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, the actor and filmmaker finally broke his silence and said, “What I have learnt is to expect the unexpected. Nothing can be taken for granted till you actually have it on film.”
Akhtar added, “Honestly, I also feel that from the time I began- from that moment that an Aamir, Akshaye, Preity, Dimple, Saif, Ritesh as my partner- till they come on and said yes ‘let’s make this film’- from that moment on, actually all the way pretty much through till 2022, which is 22-23 years, I have had the most incredible ride.”
“It has just been working with the people that I want to work with, whether directing them or acting in films that I want to act in with directors. So it has been amazing. And you realize that at some point, there will be a period that’s going to come along that is going to be a little bit more challenging then. You’ve had it good. So it’s okay, you just take it in your stride,” also said Farhan Akhtar.
Ranveer Singh to return signing amount
As per a report in Free Press Journal, “
Ranveer has gracefully agreed to return his signing amount, which was reportedly around Rs 10 crore. To further compensate Excel, he has reportedly agreed to give them a stake in his next film, tentatively being referred to as Pralaay.”
The source added, “However, just the fact that Ranveer has shown so much grace is good enough to make him a fair player in the industry. Like they say in fairy tales, all is well that ends well.”
