After Dhurandhar success, Ranveer Singh fans can’t keep calm to know what’s next in store for them. While there are a lot of speculations about his coming projects, we heard Ranveer Singh is now gearing up for what could be the most ambitious project of his career. Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that the actor has acquired the rights to The Immortals of Meluha by Amish Tripathi under his production banner, Maa Kasam Film. The fantasy novel by Indian writer Amish Tripathi, is currently under development, and Singh has partnered with Birla Studios to develop the mythological epic as a grand-scale trilogy.

According to our sources, the adaptation is currently in the writing stage, with Ranveer and Ananya Birla are aggressively working on it. “Ranveer has been passionate about bringing Meluha to the big screen for a long time now. The acquisition happened recently, and the project is now officially under development. Makers are approaching the franchise as a long-term cinematic universe and the plan is to tell the story over 3 films. The writing work has already begun, and the team is taking its time to crack the screenplay and world-building. The first part is expected to go on floors in 2028,” the source confirms.

Interestingly, Ranveer Singh himself will headline the trilogy as Lord Shiva. However, the remaining cast members are yet to be finalized. “The director will only be locked once the script work reaches a certain stage. Right now, the focus is entirely on developing the material,” the source added. Singh has acquired the rights for a hefty sum, which has been kept under wraps for now.

Before stepping into the world of Meluha, Ranveer is expected to shoot for Aditya Dhar’s next from March 2027. The actor also has Pralay, directed by Jay Mehta, which is tentatively planned to begin in August 2026, though an official update on the same is still awaited.
