Everything we know so far from leaks

According to Android Headlines, official renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro have surfaced. It seems the company is sticking with its stem-based design for yet another generation. If this design does make it over to the final product, it could disappoint many prospective buyers who were hoping for a fresh look. Below is everything we have uncovered so far.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4: Leaked design overview

Judging by the images uncovered by Android Headlines, Samsung appears to be sticking with the same stem-based design that was introduced with the Buds 3 series. The rendered Galaxy Buds 4 images show that the buds stick to the older open-type fit, meaning there are no ear tips. They will sit loosely in the outer ear, similar to how the standard AirPods are worn.

However, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will allegedly retain an in-ear design with silicone tips, which help block outside noise and deliver effective active noise cancellation (ANC).

Charging case aesthetics

The leaks also point to the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro charging case getting a transparent lid, carrying over the same design used in the previous generation. As for the standard Galaxy Buds 4, details about its charging case remain unclear at the time of writing.

For now, we only have visual evidence from the renders, with no official word on the material finish or specs. We will have to wait for the official Unpacked event, which will likely be held sometime in early 2026.

Whether the standard model also adopts the same transparent lid design as the Pro variant or sticks to the traditional opaque finish is something we’ll have to wait to uncover.

Expected release date

While Samsung hasn’t confirmed an exact release date, Android Headlines noted that these earbuds are likely to launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy S26 series on February 26, 2026.

If we were to take a guess, this aligns with how the company typically introduces new smartphones and accessories together. If things do not take a U-turn, we might end up seeing these buds in the flesh sooner than anticipated.
