SPOILER ALERT: This post contains details on the Euphoria Season 3 finale on HBO.
Euphoria Season 3, Episode 8, titled “In God We Trust,” picks up right where Episode 7 ended with Chloe Cherry’s Faye Valentine screaming to wake Toby Wallace’s Wayne as Zendaya’s Rue Bennett was stealing from his sage.
Wayne reaches for his gun, but Rue acts quicker and grabs a wrench and hits him in the leg. On her way out, Rue punches Faye and knocks her out. Rue makes a run for it as Wayne chases her down, aiming at her with his rifle.

Rue finally manages to escape, but is chased down by James Landry Hébert’s Harley, who, riding a horse, lassoes her and drags her down. It wasn’t long before Rue got a lifeline as Marshawn Lynch’s G was looking from afar and shot Harley down, allowing them to both flee the scene.
Maddy (Alexa Demie) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) are both at a diner after finding out Nate (Jacob Elordi) died.
“What do I do?” Maddy asks Cassie.
Cassie goes around to sit next to Maddy on the booth, leans on her shoulder, and says, “We’ll figure it out together.”

Alamo Brown (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) congratulates Rue on a job well done and awards her with drugs and money. Rue crashes at Ali’s (Colman Domingo) place while she recovers from her injuries.
Wayne figures out that Laurie (Martha Kelly) has been set up by Alamo and flees the scene with Faye. The DEA soon arrives at Laurie’s place and arrests everyone in the ambulance allegedly transporting the drugs, including Kitty (Anna Van Patten), Mitch (Daeg Faerch), and Big Eddy (Kadeem Hardison).
Harley surrenders to the police, but Laurie climbs to the roof of her place and hangs herself before the authorities can arrest her.

When the DEA investigates the ambulance, they find out there are no drugs. Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson) is then seen driving a vehicle to Alamo’s place with all the drugs.
The next day, and while watching the news, Rue learns that Fezco escaped the correctional facility using parkour.
“I have to go get him,” Rue tells Ali, adding, “I promised him that if he ever got out, I would go pick him up. I have to go.”
Oh, her way to go find Fez, Rue stops by the store he owned. Rue then visits her home and finds her mom reading the Bible. She reaches out to her, and they embrace each other.
It was all a dream. The next morning, Ali finds Rue rolled over on the couch, dead. He tests the pills Alamo gave Rue and finds out they were fentanyl.
Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Maddy (Alexa Demie) are now living together in the home Cassie shared with Nate (Jacob Elordi). Cassie proposes to her sister Lexi (Maude Apatow) that they work together and house some of the girls in exchange for room and board, but Lexi declines the offer.
Neither Cassie nor Maddy has told anyone what happened to Nate, as Lexi shared with her sister her pain in losing Rue to drugs.
Ali visits the strip club and questions G on what happened to Rue and who gave her the pills she overdosed on. When Ali didn’t get the answers he wanted, he shot G, alarming everyone at the club.
Alamo was in the back room with Maddy when he heard Ali yelling for him. Alamo comes out and uses Maddy as a shield from Ali shooting at him. Alamo pushes Maddy out of the way and warns him that he’s going to die, as he has more people with guns.
Ali tells Alamo that Rue sent him, to which Alamo says, “So you have a score to settle.”
Alamo and Ali settle it with a duel, but Alamo is betrayed by Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson), who gave him an unloaded gun. Ali then shoots Alamo. Ali shoots Alamo twice before shooting him a third time, just in case.
Maddy feels relieved when Ali kills Alamo.
Ali visits the family Rue was staying with, where she felt most at peace, and tells them she is in a better place now.
