Arsenal were crowned champions for the first time since 2004 after second-placed Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw at AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday
Erling Haaland has congratulated Arsenal on winning the Premier League title. The Gunners’ 22-year wait for the Premier League title ended on Tuesday night following Manchester City’s 1-1 draw at AFC Bournemouth.
The result sparked wild celebrations among the players and staff at their training base, as well as thousands of supporters at the Emirates Stadium.
Taking to social media on Wednesday night, Haaland showed his class by posting: “Not the ending we hoped for, but we’ll use this feeling the right way next season. To every City fan who travelled with us this season, thank you Congrats to Arsenal for the title.”

Haaland has equalised in the fifth minute of added time at Vitality Stadium to cancel out Junior Kroupi’s first-half opener but Pep Guardiola’s side could not find a last-gasp winner to take the title race to the final day.
Haaland admitted post-match: “Every game in the Premier League is difficult, we tried, it wasn’t enough.
“The whole club should use this as motivation now. We should be angry, we should feel a fire inside our belly because it’s not good enough. It’s gone two years now, it feels like forever.
“We’re going to do everything we can, everyone that will be here next season, to win the league.”
City boss Guardiola also congratulated Arteta and his side, saying: “[I need to] congratulate Arsenal, Mikel and the backroom staff, the fans for the Premier League which they deserved.
“I would love to have arrived in the last moment. Today the fatigue was there. Bournemouth had 12 days to prepare. The impact from the fresh players was not good enough.
“We fought a lot and we prepare next season. With the club, I always talk. But not now. The first thing you should understand, I have to talk with the chairman first.
“We will talk in the next few days. First, we have to talk with the chairman what we have to do.”
The Gunners will lift the Premier League trophy after their final league match of the season against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
They will then take on reigning champions Paris St Germain in Budapest bidding to claim the title for the first time.
