After years of being away from sharing screen space, Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal are preparing for a fresh chapter in their professional journey together. The real life couple will next appear in Qubool Hai, marking their comeback as co stars after nearly a decade. The project also introduces them to the growing world of vertical storytelling, something both actors describe as completely unfamiliar territory for them.
For fans who followed their journey from the early days of Miley Jab Hum Tum, this reunion carries a sense of nostalgia. Over the years, the two built not only successful careers but also a relationship that grew stronger with time. Their last major appearance together was on Nach Baliye, after which they focused on individual projects.
Talking about stepping onto a set together again after such a long time, Sanaya admitted that their personalities once made collaboration a little more complicated. According to her, both of them approached work differently in the past, whether in terms of speed, mindset, or temperament. But years of living together seem to have naturally changed that dynamic.
Irani told the publication, “Mohit and I as individuals were different in terms of our working pace and temperament. But this time, I was pleasantly surprised to see that we were in sync.”
“We have been together for 17 years now, and somewhere, we have become like each other. It is easier to work with him now than it was back then. Today, there is a sense of understanding.”

Mohit shared that the unconventional structure of the series was one of the biggest reasons they agreed to come on board. Since neither of them had experimented with this style of content before, the idea itself felt refreshing.
“The format looked very interesting, and the story looked good, so we thought, why not take it up. We haven’t done a vertical microdrama before. It’s a new space, and that makes it exciting,” he said.
Despite spending years in the entertainment industry, the couple insists that popularity was never their end goal. Mohit explained that their focus had always remained on performing and improving as actors rather than chasing celebrity status.
“Sanaya and I never cared so much about stardom. We just genuinely liked acting. The craft was always our passion,” Sehgal said.

Sanaya echoed the same thought and shared that fame was never the reason she entered the industry in the first place. “I was never someone who got into this industry for fame,” she said.
Addressing their absence from television, the actress clarified that they never consciously distanced themselves from any platform. For them, the nature of the role and story has always mattered more than the medium itself.
“For both Mohit and me, it has never been about the medium.“
