Mumbai, December 2 – Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited Dhurandhar is gearing up for a massive release worldwide, and the excitement around the film is growing steadily. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action-drama boasts a powerhouse cast, backed by a gripping trailer and popular songs like Karavaan and Gehra Hua.
Dhurandhar has been one of the most talked-about projects of the season, riding high on strong mass appeal and big-screen spectacle. The advance booking opened six days before release, giving the film ample time to build momentum. While the initial response is not extraordinary, the pre-sales are decent and tracking ahead of the recently released Tere Ishk Mein, though both films belong to very different genres.
With Dhurandhar being more mass-friendly, trade analysts expect the film’s bookings to pick up significantly in the last two days. As things stand, Dhurandhar is on course to comfortably surpass the 12 crore net opening of 83, which would make it Ranveer Singh’s biggest post-pandemic opener.
Based on current trends, a 15+ crore opening day appears locked for the film. If the pace of pre-sales strengthens over the next few days, the film could very well push towards a 20 crore opening or even more. With buzz increasing day by day, Dhurandhar is shaping up to be one of the most promising starters of the season.
