Who does not know Aneet Padda! The young talent became an overnight sensation when she starred in the movie Saiyaara in 2025. In the Mohit Suri directorial, her acting and chemistry with Ahaan Panday was widely loved by all. Ever since, Aneet has been winning several awards for her performance in Saiyaara. But let’s find out more about Aneet and her background.

Aneet Padda was born into a middle-class Sikh family on October 14, 2002, in Amritsar, Punjab. Her father, Sukhjit Padda, is a businessman, while her mother, Navdeep Padda, is a homemaker who has been a strong supporter of her acting ambitions. Her parents are not connected to the film industry and have largely stayed away from the public spotlight.

She completed her schooling at Spring Dale Senior School in Amritsar. Later, she moved to Delhi for higher education and studied at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. While pursuing her degree in political science with a minor in English, she developed an interest in modelling and performance. Since Aneet Padda comes from a non-film background, her journey into the entertainment industry has been marked by auditions, modelling assignments and small acting projects before landing her big breakthrough with Saiyaara.

During her college years in Delhi, Aneet began working as a model and appeared in several advertising campaigns. These early opportunities helped her gain confidence in front of the camera and opened doors in the entertainment industry. Her work in commercials gradually caught the attention of casting directors and talent scouts.

Before gaining recognition in films, Aneet appeared in a small role in the 2022 movie Salaam Venky starring Kajol. Although it was a minor appearance, the project allowed her to experience working on a major film set and further motivated her to pursue acting professionally.

Aneet later made her OTT debut with the web series Big Girls Don’t Cry in 2024. The series introduced her to a wider audience and showcased her acting abilities, helping her build credibility as a newcomer in the industry. The show also brought her valuable industry exposure.

Aneet’s major breakthrough came with Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri. In the film, she starred opposite Ahaan Panday. The role marked her big-screen breakthrough and significantly boosted her popularity among young audiences and casting directors. With Saiyaara becoming a widely discussed film, Aneet Padda has quickly emerged as one of Bollywood’s promising new faces.

Recently, Aneet Padda was also honoured with the ‘Star Of The Year’ award at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards. In her acceptance speech, Aneet Padda spoke about her love for cinema, and how it has taught her pain, empathy and love. She further thanked Saiyaara director Mohit Suri, co-star Ahaan Panday, and the entire team of the film, crediting them for changing her life.

“I would really like to thank Mo Mo (Mohit Suri). I love you so much. Ahaan Panday, there’s nobody like you. The entire team of Saiyaara, there’s nobody like you. You’ve changed my life. You absolutely changed my life,” she said.

Now, after the massive success of Saiyaara, she is set to star in ‘Shakti Shalini’, the next chapter in Dinesh Vijan’s MHCU (Maddock Horror Comedy Universe). The shooting of the film is currently underway.
