Dacoit will be high on emotions

Adivi Sesh’s next theatrical release is Dacoit, an action thriller directed by debutant Shaniel Deo. Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead, and the project marks the Telugu debut of Anurag Kashyap. Today, the shoot of this Hindi-Telugu bilingual project was wrapped up, followed by a press interaction.

Speaking to the media, Adivi Sesh said, “Dacoit will be high on emotions. It will showcase the protagonist’s anger. The dialogues he utters exhibit his frustration. What did the female lead do that made the hero such an angry person? What made them part their ways? We display high emotion while talking to our families or loved ones. We tried to capture that in Dacoit.”

He added, “The making of this film felt like a saga. We shot for 149 days. I held this press meet to share the details about this long and memorable journey. The scripting took one year, while the production lasted two years.”

The film also stars Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla in supporting roles. Dacoit is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda, co-produced by Suniel Narang, and presented by Annapurna Studios. The movie releases on April 10.
