JGINYUE B850I SNOW DREAM WIFI brings OCuLink to AM5 Mini-ITX

JGINYUE has listed the B850I SNOW DREAM WIFI, a Mini-ITX motherboard for AMD AM5 processors. The board supports Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 9000 series CPUs. The board’s main feature is OCuLink. This connector is now common on mini PCs and external GPU docks, but it remains rare on standard DIY desktop motherboards.

OCuLink is connected through PCIe 3.0 x4

JGINYUE confirms that the OCuLink port is connected to the southbridge through PCIe 3.0 x4. This means the board does not offer the same bandwidth as OCuLink implementations using PCIe 4.0 x4. This means that running eGPU through this connector will not give you full bandwidth.

The motherboard has one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and three M.2 slots. One front-mounted M.2 slot supports PCIe 5.0 x4, while two rear-mounted M.2 slots support PCIe 4.0 x4. There are also two SATA III ports.

For memory, the B850I SNOW DREAM WIFI has two DDR5 slots. JGINYUE lists support for DDR5-4800 to DDR5-8000+ OC, with maximum capacity of 96GB.

The board uses an 8+2+1 phase DrMOS power design. Networking includes 2.5GbE through a Realtek RTL8125BG controller and Wi-Fi 6 through a MediaTek MT7902 module.

Rear I/O includes HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, USB-A, RJ45, antenna connectors, two 3.5 mm audio jacks, and S/PDIF. The board also has a Type-E header for front USB-C.

JGINYUE boards are sold on Newegg and Amazon, however I did not find any listing of this particular model there.
