Francisco Cerundolo survived a scary jolt to the throat to advance to the Queen’s Club semifinals.

Watch British wild card Arthur Fery blast a backhand pass right off Cerundolo’s throat knocking the Argentinean to the historic Queen’s Club grass.

Climbing up off the turf, Cerundolo arose to post a 7-6(1), 3-6, 6-4 victory over Fery to reach the semifinals.

“Yeah, what can I say? I don’t know,” Fery said. “I didn’t try to hit him in the throat, obviously. He
just didn’t really want to pick a side, so I tried to go through them, and yeah, obviously hit him.

“Unfortunate, but I can’t do much. Yeah, came to apologize and he was fine.”

It is Cerundolo’s first semifinal above the ATP 250-level since he made the final four on the clay of the Mutua Madrid Open in May of 2025.

Cerundolo will take on American Brandon Nakashima, who toppled top-seeded Alex de Minaur 7-5, 6-3 for a spot in Sunday’s final.
