Equatorial Guinea look distraught about not getting anything from this game. Burkina Faso made the most of having the extra man, even if it took a long time.

GOAL! EQ look absolutely knackered and BF take advantage. Irie gets to the byline and dinks a cross into the box, which Tapsoba eventually heads home after the goalkeeper fails to clear.

90+7 mins: Will we end up with more than eight minutes here?

GOAL! A long throw causes chaos in the box. Ouattara is fouled in the box but before the referee can whistle, Minoungou fires home.

A last-gasp equaliser.

90+4 mins: Everyone in red is within 25 yards of their own goal. Inside the box there is another chance for BF but Dayo heads over from close range.

Soon after Ouattara has a headed chance but it loops over, too.

90+2 mins: EQ have a long time to hold on. Ondo does his best, holding the ball up on the left and winning a throw-in, which it takes a long old while to be taken.

90 mins: Another great chance for BF as a chip to the back post reaches Dayo but his header is wayward to say the least.

Eight minutes added on!

89 mins: EQ try to hold it up in the corner but lose possession.

Irie is on for Yago in BF’s final change.

88 mins: EQ are doing everything they can to run the clock down here. Ramping up timewasting to new levels. BF look a little shellshocked, too.

EQ break and make it into the box again, winning another corner. I can’t see this one being clipped into the box.

87 mins: We have to assume that BF after going to really go for it here. Losing this match after playing for so long against 10 men would be disappointing, to say the least.

GOAL! It was a corner from the left, which is sent into the box. Anieboh just wants it more than the defender and finds the top corner to give the goalkeeper no chance.

A SHOCK IS ON THE CARDS!

84 mins: Minoungou does really well to keep the ball in, pulling it back to Aziz Ki, whose shot is blocked, the rebound gets to Ouattara but he can only whack it over.

82 mins: Dorian Jr and Anieboh on, Zuniga and Ganet off for EQ.

80 mins: Bertrand Traore is off, Minoungou replaces him.

Mascarell is down after a foul, I suspect mainly to waste time. BF do not help themselves by getting frustrated, forcing the referee to intervene, delaying matters further.

78 mins: Everyone in red is pretty much on the edge of the EQ box. Could be a long final 12 minutes or so.

77 mins: EQ get a free-kick in a good position on the right but Ganet sends it straight out for throw.

Down the other end Ouattara outfoxes on defender with a shimmy but not a second and EQ clear their lines.

75 mins: A disappointing moment for BF but they must be confident they will get another good opportunity here.

I am yet to see a replay but it must have been millimetres.

GOAL? Seconds after coming on Lassina Traore has the opener. The striker has not played since August. A cross finds Ouattara, who heads down to Traore, allowing the striker to volley home from close range. Is the striker offside? We have a VAR check? It is very tight …

70 mins: Ouattara continues to look dangerous, dribbling into the box at speed but he is held up, winning a corner for his troubles.

Almost a shock down the other end as Akapo is allowed space, eventually firing a shot just wide from 18 yards.

BF do a triple sub. Aziz Ki, Simpore, L Traore are on.

68 mins: EQ send on Buyla and Eneme for Machin and Salvador, who is booked for his slow, limping departure.

66 mins: Ganet spins on the ball around 30 yards from goal and fires a shot away but it goes well wide. He wants a corner but will not get one.

BF charge down the other end but another tricky cross is survived.

64 mins: Unsurprisingly, EQ are trying to slow things down as much as possible here. Machin draws a fall to waste a few more seconds.

BF make it into the box again, Ouattara gets the ball into the danger area but EQ scramble it clear eventually.

62 mins: Another dreadful finish from BF! A pass through the defence reaches Kouassi and he puts the ball on Kabore’s head but he barely gets a touch, glancing it wide.

61 mins: Replays show Dayo gets the ball first, so it is not a foul. We can relax on that front, but most players certainly felt it.

60 mins: There is a clash of heads inside the box. EQ will want a penalty because it is their man Salvador who is taken out.

There is a lad in a Sunderland shirt in the stands and he looks to be loving life.

58 mins: Tapsoba gets a chance at the back post but the angle is against him and heads into the sidenetting.

BF get another chance soon after. They counter at speed before Ouattara is released into space in the box but his shot is straight at Owono.

56 mins: With an extra man, we must assume now the final 30-odd minutes will be a backs-to-the-wall experience EQ. Surely BF can find a goal now.

54 mins: Charles Ondo is on for EQ. He was brought up in England after being born in Spain, starting his career with Millwall and then Huddersfield, not to mention loan spells with Waterford and Hemel Hempstead. He currently plays for Portland Timbers.

52 mins: That’s the first red of the tournament and Ndong looks distraught. Owono goes down and receives some treatment, I suspect so EQ can plan a reconfiguration.

50 mins: It looked completely accidental from the defender. It was clumsy at best but the referee thinks it is worthy of a red.

49 mins: EQ get themselves into a good position on the left but Machin holds onto the ball for too long and Ndong runs offside.

Traore is taken out on the right touchline, leaving him writhing in pain. Ndong is cautioned for causing pain, catching him on the back of the ankle. It looks accidental but the referee goes to the monitor!

47 mins: A first shot on target! The ball runs to Traore in the box and he takes aim but it is straight at the goalkeeper.

We go again!

Burkina Faso have been the better team but have lacked a clinical edge in the final third. With zero shots on target between them, we can assume it’s not been a classic.

45+1 mins: Ouattara holds up the ball on the edge of the box and lays it back to Kabore but his shot is wild.

45 mins: Three minutes added on.

44 mins: Ouattara has to do better here! The Brentford man charges down the left and is through one-on-one but he takes a very heavy touch, allowing Coco to get at him.

42 mins: BF have enjoyed two-thirds of possession but are yet to have a shot on target, a feat neither side have achieved thus far.

Ouattara almost gets the first but his shot from inside the box is blocked. The resulting corner comes to nothing, too.

40 mins: Traore whips in a corner from the right, it lands underneath the bar but Owono is untroubled, catching the ball without pressure.
