The recently launched BMW F 450 GS is the most affordable entry point into the BMW GS family. It is available in two colours in India, and here’s a closer look at them:
The Cosmic Black is the first colour scheme available; it features a full black finish on the motorcycle. There is an ‘F 450 GS’ graphic on the tank, adding a sporty touch to the adventure bike.

The second colour available is the Racing Blue Metallic. This shade features a blue finish overall, with white and red accents, and it looks quite bold and sporty. The connection with BMW’s racing legacy is unmistakable and really adds character to the motorcycle.

In the international market, the adventure bike is available in a Racing Red finish as well. It looks bold and aggressive, compared to the subtle Cosmic Black and the flashier Racing Blue. But BMW Motorrad has decided not to launch it in India, which has left customers with one choice less.

Currently, the BMW F 450 GS starts at a price of Rs. 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom), and is offered in multiple variants. It is powered by a 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that makes 48bhp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm. The bike is suspended on an inverted fork and monoshock. It rolls on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy/spoke wheels setup with tubeless tyres, depending on the variant.
