ASUS sends ExpertBook Ultra above Mount Everest, laptop already priced at $3,599
ASUS has published an interesting new stress-test video for its ExpertBook Ultra laptop. The company sent the system to an altitude of 8,856 meters using a weather balloon, placing it slightly above the height of Mount Everest.
The laptop was exposed to temperatures as low as -42.5°C and air pressure at roughly 30% of sea level. ASUS also claims the system remained operational during the flight and survived a 26 km/h landing on wet ground.
Honestly, we are not sure about your laptops, but mine have already endured similar tests. Some of them survived Computex coverage, Windows updates, airport security, coffee exposure, and being opened with 200 Chrome tabs after three hours of sleep.

The test focuses on the ExpertBook Ultra B9406CAA, ASUS’ flagship business laptop with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The US configuration now available through ASUS Store uses the Core Ultra X7 358H, 32GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory, 1TB PCIe 4.0 storage and a 14-inch 2880×1800 tandem OLED touchscreen.
Today ASUS confirmed prices for this model at $3,599.99 in the United States. I guess they are testing each and every laptop this way, which explains the price.
