ASUS TUF RTX 5080 BTF listed with 2730 MHz OC clock

ASUS has added two new GeForce RTX 5080 BTF graphics cards to its TUF Gaming lineup. The new models are the TUF-RTX5080-16G-BTF-GAMING and TUF-RTX5080-O16G-BTF-GAMING.

These cards support both standard and BTF power delivery. ASUS lists one 16-pin power connector and a GC-HPWR gold finger, which means the card can be used with a standard motherboard and cable or with a BTF motherboard that delivers power through the hidden connector. ASUS says the detachable GC-HPWR adapter is rated for up to 1000W.

The OC model is listed with a 2700 MHz default boost clock and a 2730 MHz OC mode. The regular TUF RTX 5080 specification uses 2617 MHz by default and 2640 MHz in OC mode, and the new non-OC BTF model is expected to follow this same configuration. Both cards use the RTX 5080 GPU with 10752 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 memory on a 256-bit bus.

The TUF RTX 5080 BTF cards keep the same 3.6-slot cooler design used by the regular TUF models. ASUS lists a 348 × 146 × 72 mm size, 30 Gbps memory speed, two HDMI 2.1b ports, three DisplayPort 2.1b ports and an 850W recommended power supply.

According to our database, ASUS already has RTX 50 BTF models based on the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti BTF White designs. The RTX 5080 now fills the gap between those cards, giving ASUS BTF options across RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti models.
