Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP last summer in a deal worth around £55m (€63.5m) plus £8.5m (€10m) in add-ons
Sporting CP are set to receive a cut of money from Arsenal for Viktor Gyokeres due to various add-ons triggered during his debut season in north London.
It was a memorable campaign for the Swede, who helped fire the Gunners to the Premier League title before eventually narrowly falling short in the Champions League final.
Arsenal signed Gyokeres for an initial £55million but the deal also included bonuses worth up to £8.5m.
Every time Gyokeres hits 20 appearances where he has played 45 or more minutes, Sporting are due £1.08m (€1.25m) up to a limit of £4.31m.

The former Coventry City frontman made 55 appearances across all competitions but he only played 45 minutes or more in 44 of those games.
This means Sporting are due to receive around £2.16m (€2.5m) in appearance-related bonuses as the 20-game threshold was triggered twice.
Moving onto goal contributions, Sporting are set to receive £430k (€500k) every time Gyokeres reaches 20 goal contributions, up to a limit of £860k (€1m).
Gyokeres mustered 21 goals and three assists in all competitions, meaning Sporting will bank £430k.
Finally, Sporting are receiving an extra £860k (€1m) as Arsenal have secured qualification for next season’s Champions League group phase.
This particular add-on is capped at £3.45m (€4m) meaning the Gunners can only pay this particular bonus four times over (providing they do achieve Champions League group phase qualification each season).
In total, Sporting are set to bank around £3.88m in add-ons following Gyokeres’ first season in the Premier League, boosting the club’s coffers.
Gyokeres has now headed off to his first World Cup with Sweden after firing them to North America with four goals, including a hat-trick and the winner in the final, during the play-offs.
Sweden boss Graham Potter was recently full of praise for his star man, stating: “He scored four goals in two games, got us to the World Cup, so his impact is incredible.
“From Arsenal’s perspective, he’s played his role, scored his goals, and the team won the Premier League and reached the Champions League final.
“He has played most of the games, but he still gets criticism. That’s just the world we’re in, but then you look at him, how much work he does, how he goes about his business, and he’s an incredible character.”
