Just after scoring his first-ever Champions League goal, Madueke could be seen tapping the Arsenal badge to celebrate his winner against Bayern Munich.

The 23-year-old came on to replace the injured Leandro Trossard, who was forced off with a worrying issue in the 38th minute.

The former Chelsea winger later came up trumps for the Gunners as Riccardo Calafiori’s cross picked him out at the back post, where he tapped the ball home.

Madueke had made a brilliant start at Arsenal just before his injury, but he returned in style with a really important goal.

However, Arsenal fans will just adore his celebration as he showed great passion for scoring a crucial goal for his new club.

Following a ‘dicey’ start at Arsenal, Madueke has quickly proved many doubters wrong in N5, and he is going to be so important with Trossard possibly sidelined.

Madueke believes that Arsenal produced a real ‘statement’ by beating Bayern Munich and insisted there is confidence they can win these types of matches.

Madueke told TNT Sports: “It’s just amazing to score my first goal, I couldn’t have picked a better game to be fair. It’s always difficult as an attacker, you want to hit the ground straight away, but sometimes you have to wait.

“But it was perfect, and I am so happy that the team got the win as well. It’s an incredible statement, but we know the work that we put in. Every single day, we are so together, and we go into these types of games now with a real confidence that we’ll get the job done.”

Next up for the Gunners is a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Madueke’s former club, Chelsea.
