Arjun bowled four overs for Goa in their second Elite Group B match at Eden Gardens and picked up three wickets for 17 runs.

Arjun Tendulkar, who is the son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, is representing Goa in the ongoing 2025 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The 26-year-old is playing as an opening batter, and in two matches played so far, he also bowled with the new ball for the Suyash Prabhudessai-led side. During his team’s second Elite Group B match against Chandigarh, which was played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday (November 28), Arjun bowled four overs and picked up three wickets for 17 runs to help them secure a big win by 52 runs.
Arjun opened his wicket account by dismissing Chandigarh captain Shivam Bhambri on the fifth ball of his first over, and then on the first ball of his second over, he removed Arjun Azad. While Bhambari was bowled by Arjun after scoring just 1 run from five balls, he trapped Azad in front of the wickets. The opening batter made 7 runs from seven balls.
Arjun’s third wicket came in the form of Jagjit Singh in the 16th over of the run chase. On the third ball of that over, the left-arm pacer bowled an unplayable delivery to breach Jagjit’s defence and shatter his stumps.

Apart from Arjun, Vasuki Koushik and Darshan Misal also picked up three wickets each for the Goa side, and their super show with the ball helped them bowl Chandigarh out for just 121 runs in 19 overs.
Before making headlines with his bowling, Arjun, with the help of three fours, also scored 14 runs from nine balls on Friday.
In Goa’s first match of SMAT 2025, Arjun scored 28 runs from 22 balls with the bat and bowled 2.2 overs but was not able to take any wickets.
He will next take the field on Sunday, November 30. In their third match of SMAT 2025, Goa will face Hyderabad at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Like Goa, Hyderabad have also won one out of two matches played so far in the ongoing premier domestic T20 tournament.
