Apple Teases New Beats Headphones Through Lamine Yamal Ahead of World Cup – Firstpost

Apple may be preparing to launch a new pair of Beats headphones, with fresh images surfacing online ahead of the FIFA World Cup later this month. The images show Spanish football star Lamine Yamal wearing what appears to be an unreleased pair of over-ear Beats headphones.

First spotted by 9to5Mac, the bright pink headphones feature a noticeably redesigned look compared to existing Beats models. The headband appears slimmer and more closely resembles the design of the AirPods Max, gradually widening as it connects to the earcups. The earcups themselves also appear more angular, with a more pronounced outward profile than current Beats headphones.

The sighting comes just weeks after Apple enthusiasts discovered a mysterious filing with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for a new set of over-ear Bluetooth headphones. While the filing did not reveal whether the product belonged to the AirPods or Beats lineup, the appearance of the iconic Beats “b” logo on the headphones seen in Yamal’s post strongly suggests they are part of the Beats family.

Yamal’s Instagram post has already attracted more than one million likes from his 43 million followers. The teenager currently plays for the Spanish national team as well as Spanish club FC Barcelona.

Using prominent athletes to tease upcoming products is nothing new for Beats. In 2024, the company quietly revealed the redesigned Beats Pill speaker through a short Instagram clip featuring basketball star LeBron James. That teaser appeared shortly after regulatory filings for a new portable speaker were uncovered online.

For now, Apple has not confirmed the existence of the new headphones, and the images offer few clues about a launch date. However, with the World Cup approaching, speculation is growing that the company could unveil the product in time for the tournament.
