Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 18 Pro series later this year, including the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and early leaks are offering a glimpse at its design. A YouTuber has shared images of a dummy unit placed alongside the iPhone 17 Pro Max, revealing that the upcoming model may retain a largely familiar look with only subtle design refinements, particularly around the camera module.

A new leak shared by tech YouTuber Vadim Yuryev (Max Tech) on X offers an early look at the iPhone 18 Pro Max through dummy units, comparing it with last year’s model. The images suggest that Apple will largely retain the design introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro series, with only subtle refinements. One noticeable change is a slightly larger rectangular camera plateau on the upcoming device.

The rear camera module is also expected to protrude slightly more than before, with hints of larger camera lenses while retaining the triple-camera setup. The layout appears similar to its predecessor, including the placement of the LiDAR sensor, LED flash, and secondary microphone on the right side of the camera island.

Button placement on the iPhone 18 Pro Max seems unchanged, with the power and Camera Control buttons on the right side, and volume controls along with the Action Button on the left. This consistency suggests Apple is focusing on internal or incremental upgrades rather than major external redesigns.
Other design elements, such as the circular MagSafe cutout on the rear panel, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille at the bottom, also remain consistent with the previous model. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and a rumoured foldable iPhone Ultra in September, although Apple has yet to officially confirm these plans.
