Angel Reese Sends Megan Thee Stallion Message After Breakup Announcement

Posted on

Angel Reese has become one of the most talked-about athletes in American sports. Now entering her third season with the Atlanta Dream after a blockbuster trade from the Chicago Sky, Reese continues to prove why she is one of the most marketable athletes in the WNBA.

But the two-time WNBA All-Star is not only known for what she does on the court. Her influence has extended into other industries like fashion and entertainment, where she has forged genuine friendships with some of the biggest names, including Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

On Saturday, Megan’s personal life made headlines when she confirmed her split from Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson, citing a breach of trust in a statement.

The announcement has since prompted widespread reaction across social media. On Sunday, Reese expressed her support for Megan, reacting to a clip of the rapper performing as Zidler for Moulin Rouge on the night the news became public.

“It’s the way you show up even while carrying so much,” she wrote. “That’s what makes you THAT girl. You always have a little sister riding for you at dawn. I love you, sister🤍”

Reese and Megan have been publicly inseparable for years. In August 2024, Reese made a surprise appearance on stage during Megan’s headlining set at Lollapalooza in Chicago. That October, they were spotted dancing together at a Halloween party in Chicago. At the 2025 Met Gala, Reese, serving on the host committee, posed on the red carpet alongside Megan and rapper Doechii, with Sports Illustrated dubbing them the “cutest duo” of the evening.

As Megan Thee Stallion navigates a fresh chapter, she clearly has people in her corner, and Reese, who is currently in a relationship with Orlando Magic forward Wendell Carter Jr., made sure the world knew exactly where she stands.
