After many cozy sightings together and recent DeuxMoi pictures of them holding hands en route to Via Carota last week, Andy Cohen has confirmed it himself: he’s in a relationship. “People have asked me for a long time, you know, ‘When are you going to get a boyfriend, why don’t you have a boyfriend?’he told Andy Cohen! producer John Hill during Monday’s episode of Andy Cohen Live. “I have always said, ‘I will know when I meet the person’ and I am really happy to say that I met the person, you guys.”

Cohen and his person — whom he did not mention by name, but whom multiple outlets have identified as New York businessman Kevin Sobieski — met at a July 4 party in the Hamptons last year. Cohen almost didn’t attend: “I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore. I was like, You know what, let me just go.” After spotting Sobieski across the room, Cohen says the two talked all night before he “very methodically” put his number in Sobieski’s phone. The Bravo producer said the two have been “slow and deliberate and methodical about getting to know each other” these last 11 months, with Cohen slowly introducing Sobieski to his kids, a 7-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter. “This man is kind, and strong, and smart, and he’s an adult, and he loves my children,” Cohen said, adding that the relationship is “so easy,” without fights or disagreements. “We just view life the same way,” Cohen gushed. “One year later, I still can’t believe I found him.”

Cohen, who’s notoriously tight-lipped about his personal life, said that he’d been thinking about sharing the official news on his radio show in July, the one-year mark of the relationship. The Bravo family kept his secret — he showed “so many Housewives” photos of Sobieski at BravoCon — but it wasn’t until the Via Carota photos surfaced last week that he decided to address it. He thanked his co-hosts and audience for respecting his privacy, adding he “wanted to be smart and slow before saying anything about this.”

It sounds like smart and slow is going really well. Cohen got “low-key” Sobieski into Traitors, and while he apparently hasn’t watched any Housewives yet, he might have the perfect person to binge it with.
