American Idol recap: Top 5 revealed, 2 cut on Taylor Swift Night

“Taylor Swift Night” has arrived on American Idol.

The Top 7 take on the 14-time Grammy winner’s biggest hits Monday as America votes live, with only five singers advancing in the race to the Season 24 finale.

Following last week’s epic “Disney Night,” the competition is tighter than ever as the remaining finalists tackle songs from across Swift’s many eras — from early country favorites to her latest pop anthems — all hoping to lock in a spot in the Top 5.

American Idol 24 Predictions: Top 7

Hannah Harper had been dominating our fan poll with five straight wins, but the race has tightened in recent days. Jordan McCullough and Keyla Richardson have surged past her, a sign that this season may be far more competitive than it once appeared as we head toward the finale.

Luke Bryan will also take the stage, while fellow judges Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie help guide the contestants through the night. Comedian, Golden Globes host, and certified Swiftie Nikki Glaser joins the panel as a guest judge. The episode will also include a salute to California’s biggest artists, giving the singers even more ground to cover before the final five are revealed.
